Automotive Grade Thin Film Resistor RBA Series

JUL 26 2021

The resistor would like use in automotive industry, its must passed the specification of AEC (Automotive Electronics Council). This is integrated based on the JEDEC or MIL STD base. and add the test conditions to simulate the car was used. It is more complete than traditional consumer considerations.

The AEC standard can be divided into the following two items:

AEC-Q100 Active component

AEC-Q200 Passive component

The RBA series product is resistor in passive components of AECQ200. Because of the chip resistor is used in automotive. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate aging simulation: severe temperature environment, structure of car vibration, gas corrosion, high temperature and humidity reaction, electrostatic bombardment and mechanical external force. In addition, due to driving safety issues, the allow the change value of the resistance from 0.5% to 0.1%; the thermal temperature coefficient (TCR) is specified in the range of ±10ppm/ to ±50ppm/., To avoid the system of the car was failure in use.

Based on the above stringent requirements, TA-I Technology spend many n resources to develop the automotive grade thin film resistors. The series uses self-developed nickel chromium alloy materials, and the passivation treatment of the thin film. To makes it have high electrical properties, chemical properties, and temperature stability. In the final product, 100% measure of film properties, resistance values and appearance. And fully automate production and data management to achieve the no failure products.

The RBA product has been researched in 2020, and the full range of AEC-Q200 has been verified and passed. We wish to use this product to make the cars safer, highly efficient and stable in the future.
